  2. Introduction Psalm 91- contains both a wisdom psalm and a divine oracle. The wisdom in this Psalm encourages the godly to pursue the path of godliness and hold on to the many promises of God s protection and blessings The conclusions support the place of wisdom as the Lord renews the promises to those who love Him and trust Him.

  3. Psalm 91:1 Dwelling in the Secret Place of the Most High requires Significant Communion with God It s impossible to love God with all your heart and not spend significant time in communion with Him

  4. Psalm 91:1 By using the third person impersonal on He who dwells in verse one the psalmist directs himself to anyone seeking wisdom. The ways of wisdom, the blessings of godliness and the pursuit of wisdom are for all who seek God as their highest good in life.

  5. Dwelling in the Secret Place of the Most High Requires Significant Concentration on God You can t consistently say the Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him, I will trust. Unless you spend significant time in concentration on God.

  6. Dwelling in the Secret Place of the Most-High requires a Significant Confession Each of these characteristics dwelling in the secret place of the Most-High and abiding under the shadow of the almighty is brought together in the confession: He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I shall trust (91:2)

  7. The Psalmist in (91: 2) makes a transition to the statement I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. -The psalmist transition from the use of third person to first person.
