The Mobile Bay Watershed covers a vast area across multiple states, with various rivers and water bodies interconnected through a network of tributaries. Major Alabama rivers, including the Mobile River and the Tombigbee River, flow through this watershed, supporting diverse ecosystems. However, environmental issues such as species extinction, pollution from point and nonpoint sources, and human-induced impacts pose significant challenges to the health of the watershed.
