  3. Mrs. Vionette McKay Mrs. Vionette McKay Teacher Teacher Hi! My Name Vionette McKay and I am you child s special needs preschool teacher. I have been teaching for 17 years both in Florida and Georgia. I have been teaching at Rock Spring Elementary for 6 years. I received my Bachelor s degree in Criminal Justice from Bethune Cookman University and my Master s degree in Exceptional Education from Nova Southeastern University. I have been married for 17 years and have 2 beautiful step daughters and 1 handsome son (mommy s world). I am from Miami, Florida and love everything Miami(Dolphins, Heat, Marlins and Hurricanes). I love teaching kids and helping them reach their potential. I love advocating for my students and will fight for the best possible services for them. I am excited about the new year and can t wait to physically see them!

  4. Mrs. Amy Schloss Mrs. Amy Schloss Paraprofessional Educator Paraprofessional Educator My name is Amy Schloss and I have worked in the Special Needs Preschool class with Mrs. McKay since 2014. I am also the site coordinator over the After School Program here at Rock Spring. I moved to Georgia in 2008 with my husband and two children. Both of my children attended Rock Spring Elementary when they were younger. My daughter is starting her first year of college at the University of Tennessee this fall with plans to become a Speech Pathologist , and my son is a Junior at Ola High School. In my free time I like spending time with my family and going to the beach. I am so excited to be working with such sweet babies again this school year and cannot wait until we can all be in class together again.

  5. Mrs. Nobles Speech Therapist My name is Sondra Nobles and this is my 9th year at RSE. I have been a Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) for almost 30 years now graduating from Florida State University (GO NOLES!!) with a B.S. and M.S. in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology. I have been married to my husband, Tim, for 28 years and we have 5 beautiful children: Elizabeth, Joshua, Hannah, Lydia, and Aaron. They keep me busy!!As a Speech/Language Pathologist at RSE, I am honored to work with your children and to encourage them to become successful communicators.   6. Mrs. Carlson Speech Therapist Hi students! I'm Mrs. Carlson, one of the Speech-Language Pathologists at Rock Spring. This is my fifth year at RSE; how can you not love this school! Many of you may remember me beginning here as Ms. Daniel, but I got married in 2018 (confusing so many students and teachers!). I had my son, Davis, early in January of this year; he is so wonderful and cute! I'm looking forward to working with some amazing students again this year and can't wait to see all of your faces soon! If you have any questions, please email me at: martha.carlson@henry.k12.ga.us

  7. Attendance Policy 1. All students must be logged into Infinite Campus by 7:45am. 2. Attendance will be taken each morning in Infinite Campus. 3. If student is absent, please email the teacher a letter or doctor s excuse. 4. Students must participate in all activities.

  8. Supplies At this time, I am not requesting any major supplies. I have included in your pick packet everything that we will be using. Once we are cleared, I will email everyone a supply list on what is needed. Construction Paper Things that needs to be returned Scissors Tweezer Color Tiles

  9. Assignments pt.1 Assignments and lessons will be given live M-F 8am 11am and 12:00pm -2:10 pm. I encourage all parents to have the students to participate as much as possible. We would like for our students attention span to increase as much as possible during this time. All handwriting and cutting assignments will need to be returned in the large gold envelope for data. Also, during this time I will need your support with collecting some data, but you will be informed individually.

  10. Assignments pt.2 During our remote learning, students will receive lessons from Mrs. Amy and I. There will be times when a student would have to log onto Mrs. Amy s group for their lesson. Also, during this remote learning students will receive their services for Speech and Language with Mrs. Nobles or Mrs. Carlson. They will contact each parent for their scheduled speech times.
