Founded in 1967, the European Association of Rechtspflegers (EUR) is an NGO aimed at harmonizing judicial professions in Europe. With a focus on law development, member support, and cultural integration, EUR engages in various projects and working groups to enhance efficiency in justice systems. Regular meetings and a dedicated Board of Directors lead the association's efforts towards promoting administration of justice across borders.

History History 1967 - Founded as an NGO (registered in the Register of Associations in Strasbourg - France) 1971 - Consultative status in the Council of Europe 2003 - Observer status in the CEPEJ (European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice) 2008 - Green-Paper for a European Rechtspfleger 2016 - White-Pater for a Rechtspfleger/Greffier for Europe 2021 - Manifesto for a Rechtspfleger for Europe 2021 - Part of a group of experts in the European Commission, Directorate- General for Justice, for education and training 2023 - Stakeholder in the E-Codex-project at EU-LISA

  2. Tasks Tasks and and Activities Activities EUR represents the profession of Rechtspfleger and comparable judicial professions in Europe. Goals according to our statutes: o Participation in the creation, further development and harmonisation of law at European and international level. o Support the EUR-members in the implementation to introduce the profession of "Rechtspfleger for Europe o Representation of the interests of the EUR-members against the national governments o Cultural and collegial relations across national borders and support and promote the integration of European friendship among peoples. o Promoting the administration of justice through the exchange of information, the preparation of joint studies and the establishment of partnerships.

Projects Projects and and Working Groups Working Groups CEPEJ (European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice at the Council of Europe) o 4 Working-Groups (e.g. cyber-justice and artificial intelligence) INGO - Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations with Participatory Status at the Council of Europe European Commission, Directorate-General for Justice o Expert Group on Training in the Judiciary EU Forum of the Judicial and Legal Professions EU-LISA (European Agency for the operational management of large- scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice)
