COMPLIANCE EDUCATION Hold student-athletes to the same academic rigor as all other students. Do not provide student-athletes with any academic benefits that are not available to other students in similar situations. Do not provide anything of monetary value to student-athletes. Do not accept calls from coaches about academic matters. Do follow University policy on approved absences. Contact the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative with questions or concerns.
ACHIEVING OUR ACADEMIC STANDARDS Total Number of Student Athletes=437 Teams must earn a four-year average APR of 930 to compete in championships FAU=992 NCAA=984 C-USA=982 14 Teams out of 19 Earned a perfect score Average GPA: Men=2.7 Women=3.3 96% of the Student Athletes achieve a 2.0 or higher Single Year Graduation Rate=58.7 NCAA=66.9 C-USA=61.4 Top Majors=Business, Education, Arts and Letters, Design/Social Inquiry Total Number of Volunteer Hours=4,683
ACCOLADES FAU student-athletes have achieved a 3.0 or higher for nine straight semesters 14 teams earned a perfect 1,000 single year APR score Five teams were publicly recognized for being in the top 10% in the country (Men s Cross Country, Men s Golf, Softball, Women s Beach Volleyball, and Women s Tennis) Single year Federal Graduation Rate is 7.5% higher than the student body FAU student-athletes have served over 4,500 community service hours for the past three years. The service hours were performed across 43 locations throughout Broward and Palm Beach County. Football, Baseball, and Women s Soccer earned Conference USA regular season championships in 2019 Football defeated SMU 52-28 in the 2019 Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl and finished 27th in the AP poll Baseball qualified for 2019 NCAA Regionals for the fourth time in five years. Both Devin Singletary (third round) and Kerrith Whyte (seventh round) were drafted in the NFL Draft
MORE ACCOLADES Harrison Bryant was named the 2019 John Mackey Award winner, given to the nation s top tight end Harrison Bryant was a unanimous All-American selection - marking the second consecutive season Bryant has earned All-America honors Natalliah Whyte was the first FAU Track & Field Athlete to qualify for NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and earned All-America honors for her finish in the 100m dash Women s Soccer coach, Patrick Baker (2018, 2019), and Baseball coach, John McCormack (2019) were both named C-USA Coach of the Year Baseball Coach John McCormack also earned his 400th career win Dusty May is currently the winningest coach in program history and his first season (2018-19) was the most successful season in the history of FAU Men s Basketball for a first year head coach.

HUMAN INTEREST STORIES Sigourney Kame (Volleyball/Senior/Exercise Science) She s an excellent student who would have never had a chance at a college degree if it wasn t for volleyball. She is from Suriname and has made the most of her opportunity athletically and academically to come to the United States for college. Jackson Wenstrom (Baseball/Starting Centerfielder/Junior) served in the military for 3.5 years before attending college. Ryan Veingard (Football/Defensive Line and Special Teams/Junior) beat Hodgkin s Lymphoma while in high school. Contributed mainly on special teams for us last season.
