MEMORY VERSE: And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear (Revelation 13:8,9). TEXT: Revelation 13:1-18
The period in which we live is known as the last days. It is a time when life on earth is rounding off before the end of the world. After the fall of man in the garden of Eden, God planned to destroy the world and create a new heaven and earth. However, He made provision for man to be reconciled back to Him through repentance and belief in Jesus Christ. As the curtain of human history draws to a close, God revealed to John the beloved the unfolding events. INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION CONTD. One significant event of the last day is the reign of the antichrist. The rapture (Jesus appearing in the clouds to catch His saints away) will take place first, before the reign of the antichrist. The sinners who fail to repent will face great trouble and sorrow under the rule of the antichrist. As the name suggest, the antichrist is a representative of Satan, and he is against Christ the Saviour of the world. We are learning about him today, so we can understand why we must accept Jesus and live a holy life so as to partake in the rapture and not participate during the rule of the antichrist.

THE REIGN AND DECEPTION OF THE ANTI- CHRIST: Revelation 13:11-18; Daniel 9:27; 12:1; Mathew 24:15-22; 2 Thessalonians 2:4-12 The antichrist is going to rule over the whole world during the seven years of the great tribulation. The great tribulation will take place immediately after the rapture of the saints. The antichrist will be a world ruler who will make a covenant with Israel seven years before the end of the world. After three and a half years, he will break his covenant with Israel and declare himself to be God. He will then go on to corrupt the holy temple of God in Jerusalem, forbid the worship of the true God and destroy the holy land (Daniel 9:27).
2. THE REIGN AND DECEPTION OF THE ANTI- CHRIST The activities of the antichrist will include the following: i. Persecution of those who remain loyal to Jesus ii. Demonstration through Satan's power; great signs, wonders and miracles in order to deceive and spread errors. iii. Seeking to gain total economic control of the world by making everyone to worship him and also receive the mark (666) on their hand or foreheads. It is only through the mark that people will be able to buy or sell. Those who refuse to take the mark will suffer untold hardship in the hands of the agents of Satan.
The reign of the antichrist will be characterized abominations, wickedness and evil doings. As friends of Jesus, be determined to go with Jesus in the rapture by living a careful and holy life. Moreover today, the antichrist is already in manifestation as seen through the prophets, lust, increase in evil activities and lack of regard for Gods righteous standard. by lawlessness, violence, 2. REIGNING WITH CHRIST IN HIS KINGDOM Revelation 13:9,10; 1Timothy 5:22; I John 3:1-3 At the end of the great tribulation, Satan and the antichrist will make war against God and His people involving the entire world. Christ will then return to destroy the antichrist, his armies and all who disobey the gospel. Thereafter, Christ will bind Satan and establish His kingdom on earth ( Revelation 19:15-21; 20:1-6)

To partake in Christ kingdom as a child of God, you must: Keep yourself pure (1 Timothy 5:22) Abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22) Separate yourself from the evil of the world (2 Corinthians 6:17) Live a holy life everyday (1 Peter 1:15-17) Be separate from bad friends and anything that can influence you to do evil (1 Corinthians 15:33) Preach the gospel to sinners (Mark 16:15) Always be in fellowship with Gods people (Heb. 10:25)
