  2. This is Vincent Van Gogh, he was an artist who lived a very long time ago. He painted this picture of himself, it s called a self portrait. Sometimes at nursery we draw or paint pictures of ourselves and put them into our family books. Could you draw or paint a picture of yourself? You could use lots of different materials ~ pens, pencils, paints, or you could even use recycled materials such as tissue, cardboard, Christmas cards. You could even look in the mirror to help you. 4. When people look at art it can make them have feelings, we sometimes call these feelings our emotions. Some people might feel happy or sad, some art can make you laugh or even cry. It might make you think of something that has happened to you, or it might make you think of someone special in your life. Do you think you could recreate this picture? You could send in a photo and we could add it to our website in our Gallery www.libertonnursery.wordpress.com and on our twitter feed @SchoolLiberton How will you make your painting? What materials will you use? Will you use paper, card, boxes? How big will it be ? What colours will be in your painting? How will you add texture to your painting?
