  1. Is religion against sex? God has given sex as a wonderful gift for a couple to enjoy in a loving, permanent and exclusive relationship. It is the way new life comes into the world. Pope St. John Paul II wrote a whole book about how good and god-like sexual loving can be!

Sex Outside Marriage To know that love in Christianity should be LEAF To give evidence that sex outside marriage is wrong To give your own opinion if sex before marriage is wrong HW Write a reply to letter to a Grandson/ Granddaughter . Mention and discuss at least 3 biblical or Christian teachings in this letter.

  3. Changes in Society Bible & Christian Teachings 1. Separate Bible teachings from Other Christian arguments about why sex outside marriage is wrong 2. Order them in order of how convincing they are at top to bottom 3. Draw a table of 3 columns, and write out 3 Bible Teachings, 3 Christian Arguments. Write Alternative Views in the 3rd column. **What are some arguments you could write in alternative views ? Read p,34 1. How has society changed on this issue in the last 60 years? what was the view before? What is the view now? 2. What explains this change?

  4. Alternative views Agree? 1-5 Copy 3 into your table Sex should just be a free expression of spontaneous love to anyone who wants it. It doesn t have to mean anything. You don t need marriage to stay faithful. You can have several partners in turn and break up when it suits you both. You should have a trial period of living together before marriage co-habiting to get to know each other before marriage. Weddings are too expensive and more about the law/ public statement than about the loving relationship.
