Marriage is a long term socially accepted commitment and helps the individual in having deepened intimate relationship Marriage is a union of man and woman their bodies, minds and souls, emotions and desires. The essence of this union is love. Marriage is considered to be a primary relationship, because it is a personal relationship between the partners.

  3. Marriage It is an institutions which admits men and women to family life socially permitted to They are have children It consists of the rules and regulations which define rights, duties and privileges of spouses, with respect to each other .

Forms of Marriages One Wife, many husbands: (Polyandry) One husband, many wives (Polygyny) One man, one wife (Monogamy) Companionate Marriage(Marriage my be dissolved by mutual consent) Experimental Marriage (Staying together before marriage) Exogamy: Marriage outside the clan/kinship Endogamy: Marriage within the same caste

  5. Issues in Marriage Lack of Spending Time Together: As the life is becoming busier than ever, the lack of communication is bound to occur due to this too-busy lifestyle. Infertility: In a husband-wife relationship, when basic human needs are not fulfilled, differences are bound to occur.

  6. Spouse Problem Three types of spouses cause a serious threat for a happy marriage, 1. Cheating spouse, 2. Nagging spouse and 3. Suspicious spouse.

  7. Family Problems Family planning, Taking care of the children, In-laws, Financial problems, Religious differences
