TEXT: Acts 16:1-10 MEMORY VERSE And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel unto them Acts 16:10
INTRODUCTION Soul-winning means preaching the gospel in order to make sinners know and come to the Saviour . The work of soul winning is old as the Christian faith. It is the duty of every saved boy and girl to win soul for the Lord. John the Baptist who prepared the way for the Lord preached for sinners. Jesus Himself called sinners to repentance. (Mark1:14-15) When He was leaving for heaven, He commanded His disciples to continue the work. (Acts1: 8-9) Jesus is in heaven, the first disciples are no more here too, the work is now left for friends of Jesus in the world today. Will you, do it?

1. WHO IS A SOUL-WINNER? A soul-winner is a child of God that is involved in leading unbelievers to follow Christ as a disciple . Acts 16:1-5 Matthew 4:18,19 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature . Mark 16:15
1. WHO IS A SOUL-WINNER? CONTD. Paul was a committed soul-winner. He did not do it alone; he took others with him with the course of preaching the gospel. In our passage, he took Timothy who was a friend of Jesus. Therefore, a soul-winner must be a true friend of Jesus. If you are a sinner, you cannot be a friend of Jesus A blind child can never lead a blind child. They will both fall into a pit. Therefore, if you are a sinner, you must repent, and turn away from your wicked ways. Ask for forgiveness and cleansing in the blood of Jesus. Then, you can preach to other children who are still doing bad things.

2. CHARACTERISTICS OF A SOUL-WINNER: Acts 16: 1-10; 2: 7-9 A soul-winner is a child of God who is dedicated to winning souls to Christ. Jesus Christ want every born-again child of God to be involved in soul winning. A soul-winner is like a doctor who is very much concerned about his patient. The doctor deals with life. Therefore, a soul-winner must be very careful. Also, in the work of preaching the gospel, a soul-winner is dealing with soul and eternal lives of human beings.
A soul-winner, therefore, must be, caring, loving, determined, patient and prayerful. He must be like Paul the Apostle who said: yea, woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel! ( 1Corinthians 9:16b) A soul-winner must know that every child that dies in his sins will go to hell fire That is why he must be quick to do all he can to deliver such a sinner from danger and punishment of hell. 2. HOW TO WIN SOUL?: Acts 16: 4- 10 1 Timothy 4:1,2 You can win souls for God s kingdom through: a) Person to person evangelism b)Use of tracts and Christian magazine. c) Friendship evangelism, caring for sinners but, not living like them. d)Invitation to fellowship and special church programmes. e)Constant prayers for sinful friends and relatives f) Living as a good example for the light of God to shine through you.
If you are not a friend of Jesus, then, you have nothing to share with sinners. A blind person cannot lead another blind person. You must accept the love of Christ and repent of your Wickard ways Accept Jesus Saviour, Lord and friend Then you can obey the command to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 3.
