  2. LETS TALK ABOUT THE THREE PARTS OF GRIEF 1. Loss Felt when something we knew, we counted on, we believed in, is gone. There s a hole we don t know what to do with it how to fill it up or move around it. But if we don t give it our time and attention, it will continue to grow.

  3. LETS TALK ABOUT THE THREE PARTS OF GRIEF 2. Longing Not conscious wanting, it s an involuntary yearning for wholeness, for understanding, for meaning, and for the opportunity to regain or even simply touch what we ve lost.

  4. LETS TALK ABOUT THE THREE PARTS OF GRIEF 3. Feeling Lost Includes feeling physically, emotionally, and spiritually lost. You have to reorient yourself to a new environment or identity. We are always letting go of things. While sometimes it is with the intention to create space for new things, there can still be grief for what we ve let go.

WHAT CAN AMBIGUOUS LOSS LOOK LIKE? - Life events good or bad - Career change - Divorce - Birth of a child - Change in relationship with loved one - Diagnoses (mental or physical) - Move - Martial problems - Child going away to college - Child marriage or going away to college - Change in identity - Change in future options - Death of a pet
