Laser Cleaning Applications and Technology Overview
Laser cleaning technology offers versatile solutions for various industrial applications, such as mold cleaning, rust and oxide removal, pretreatment, degreasing, and more. By using pulse or continuous wave lasers, different materials can be efficiently cleaned or treated without damage. Pulse lasers control irradiation time in nanoseconds, suitable for delicate surfaces, while continuous wave lasers provide high efficiency and cost-effective solutions for tasks like paint and rust removal. Explore the differences, power ranges, and capabilities of pulse and CW laser cleaning machines for effective industrial maintenance.

The difference between pulse laser and CW laser The difference between pulse laser and CW laser A continuous laser continuously emits a constant output; A pulsed laser oscillates a pulsed output at a constant repetition frequency; The figure below shows continuous wave oscillation and pulse oscillation.
Application & Features Application & Features Pulse laser controls the laser irradiation time in nanoseconds. Surface stains can be removed with little damage to heat-sensitive materials. It is widely used as a means of maintenance of industrial products and electronic equipment, and preservation and restoration of cultural properties. CW laser is an irradiation method that oscillates with continuous waves. The efficiency of CW laser is high because high-output products can be provided at a lower cost than the pulse method. It is used in many applications such as removing paint and rust, removing coatings from hairpins, cleaning weld seams, degreasing tools and casting molds.
