  2. WEEK 15 VOCABULARY WORDS ROOT: ROOT: VIT/VIV MEANING: MEANING: Life

  3. 1. SURVIVAL (V) Definition: continuing to live or exist in spite of difficult conditions. Humans need food and water for survival. The bunny is fighting for survival in the snow storm.

  4. 2. REVITALIZE (V) Definition: To give new life Sandy felt like she was dying after her ten mile run, but water revitalized her. Mark felt revitalized after sleeping.

  5. 3. VIVACIOUS (ADJ) Definition: lively and animated Taylor Swift was very vivacious during her performance, she was full of energy. The baby laughed vivaciously.

  6. 4. VIVID (ADJ) Definition: bright and distinct Jennifer dyed her hair vivid colors Frank stands out because he wears vivid clothes.

  7. 5. VITALITY (N) Definition: being strong, active and full of life Plants wilt and lose their vitality when they are not watered. The dog was full of vitality.

  8. 6. REVIVE (V) Definition: To restore life Water and sunlight revived the dying plant.

  9. 7. VITAL (ADJ) Definition: Important and necessary for life. Our hearts are a vital part of our lives. Sunlight is vital for plants to live.

  10. 8. SURVIVOR (N) Definition: To carry on despite hardships or trauma. Jack and Kate were survivors in a plane crash. Sawyer is a survivor, he never gives up even when life gets hard..
