English 4 Cell Phone Policy Guidelines for Fall 2023 - Spring 2024
In the English 4 classes for the academic year 2023-2024, a strict cell phone policy is in place. Students are prohibited from using cell phones or earbuds/air pods during specific class periods and events to maintain focus and avoid distractions. All coursework must be completed using MS Teams, and using cell phones for non-academic purposes during class time is not allowed. Violating the policy may result in reminders or referrals as per the guidelines outlined.

Cell Phone Policy English 4 (Fall 2023 Spring 2024)
Eng 4 Cell Phone Policy No cell phones or ear buds/air pods will be allowed during the first half of the class period (first 25 minutes of class on a regular schedule). They should not be audible or visible during this time. Not on your desk or in your cap. Not in your pocket or on your lap. We don t want to see them here or there. We don t want to hear them anywhere.
English 4 - Cell Phone Policy Cell phones should be put away and out of sight during SSR Wednesdays No cell phones should be visible during presentations by guest speakers or other students. No cell phone call or Face Time will be allowed in the classroom, and you may not record or photograph other students, as these actions may violate privacy policies. If an individual violates these policies, then he or she will receive 1 reminder. If the cell phone continues to be a problem, then the student will be asked to put the phone in the cell phone holder in the front of the classroom. Refusal to do so will result in a referral.
English 4 - Cell Phone Policy All course work will be done through MS Teams. You will need to have a computer or school issued stream for class. Forgetting to bring your computer to class will not be an acceptable reason to "use your cell phone for your English assignment" during the first half of class. You will have time in class to complete your assignments. Work should be completed and submitted prior to using your cell phone for non-academic purposes, and your use of the cell phone should not distract other students from learning. Getting your work done first is important with the current grading policy, as missing summative assignments are counted in Skyward as a 0% rather than a 40%. If an individual violates these policies, then he or she will receive 1 reminder. If the cell phone continues to be a problem, then the student will be asked to put the phone in the cell phone holder in the front of the classroom. Refusal to do so will result in a referral.
