Northern Europe has a climate of mild summers and cold winters, with regions closer to the North Pole experiencing extremely cold temperatures. Trees and plants adapt to survive in these harsh conditions, while the indigenous Sami people have thrived in the arctic and sub-arctic regions for thousands of years. In countries like Finland, people have developed various strategies and adaptations to survive the challenging winter conditions, such as saunas, warm clothing, and specialized equipment for winter driving and road maintenance.
