Role of ONAP The role of ONAP is to: Assist tribes in the provision of housing to Native American families; Provide funds for creating economic opportunities for tribes and Indian housing residents; Assist tribes to formulate plans and strategies for community development; and, Ensure fiscal integrity in the operation of programs. Current ONAP Funding Opportunities Tribal HUD-VASH Expansion Program Grant due: April 15, 2021. The NOFA announced the availability of approximately $3.2 million for competitive grants to eligible Indian tribes and tribally designated housing entities (TDHEs). For further information about this funding opportunity, please visit www.grants.gov/ and www.hud.gov/program_offices/public_indian_housing/ih/tribalh udvash.
