  6. Developing Your Argument - RAGE To what extent to you agree that Gryffindor is the best Hogwarts House? The four houses of Hogwarts all possess their own personality traits and characteristics. Whilst all houses have their own strengths, Gryffindor is the superior house because of several reasons. One strength of Gryffindor pupils is that they are the bravest of Hogwarts pupils, meaning they can overcome challenges thrown at them. Another strength is that they are liked by the other houses, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, which gives them an advantage over Slytherin who not many people like.

Whilst all houses have their own strengths, Gryffindor is the superior house because of several reasons. One strength of Gryffindor pupils is that they are the bravest of Hogwarts pupils, meaning they can overcome challenges thrown at them. As a result, they often save the day, like when Neville Longbottom killed Nagini and thus saved Hogwarts. Without Gryffindor pupils, Hogwarts may not have been saved from Voldemort.

Tutors to Edit: We recommend some of the following activities: As pupils to take a portion of their draft assignment and evaluate what they have done well/what they want to improve when considering RAGE Use a final assignment from a previous placement if you have one, or other sample essay, ensure you anonymise it. You could: ask pupils to use the mark scheme to give feedback on what the final assignment did well, and what they might have done to improve. Pupils should be encouraged to use RAGE to support the feedback they might want to give. select two essays and ask pupils to assess how well they apply the ideas from RAGE in each essay The worksheet in their handbooks summarises key information about this skill to support any task or activity you create
