Mandatory and Statutory Training (MAST) is essential for all staff to ensure compliance and competence in areas like Fire Safety, Health, Infection Prevention, and more. This training is guided by Brian Kilpatrick, the MAST and E-Learning Manager, and covers accessing the MAST system, checking compliance status, and details on the Core Skills Training Framework. Transferable training records from other NHS Trusts are accepted, aligning topics with organizational delivery needs.

Mandatory and Statutory Training Mandatory mandated by the Trust as must do training Statutory required by law eg Fire Safety Staff are allocated to topics based primarily on their role and staff group eg clinical/non-clinical staff may do different versions of particular topics 3

Mandatory and Statutory Training Prior training Core Skills Training Framework If you have worked at another NHS Trust, your training at that Trust may be transferable If the Trust is a signatory to the Core Skills Training Framework, then we would accept any in date, valid mast training from that trust The Core Skills Training Framework has about 250 NHS organisations as signatories see: https://www.skillsforhealth.org.uk/services/item/146-core-skills- training-framework If you have training records from your last Trust you can submit them to the Mast Team at mast@stgeorges.nhs.uk and we will update any valid records 6
