  1. Planning Working Group Update To Reliability and Operations Subcommittee Alexandra Miller, PLWG Chair Dylan Preas, PLWG Vice-Chair September 7, 2023

  2. PLWG Activity Update 8/15/23 NERC Standard FAC-002-4: Qualified Change for the Purpose of Facility Interconnection Ping Yan (ERCOT) provided an update. Qualified Change includes new or modified generation and load interconnections; and Tier 1 - 4 RPG projects reported in TPIT (projects requiring a Transmission Interconnection Study report (TIS)) ERCOT will finalize definition and publish a document referencing affected sections of protocols PGRR 109 Dynamic Model Review Process Improvement for IBR Modification Group had active discussion of concerns and need for clarifications. Stakeholders plan to file comments and suggested edits and issue was tabled until September meeting.

  3. PLWG Activity Update Open Action Items PGRR107 (Related to NPRR 1180) Inclusion of Forecasted Load in Planning Analyses Issue remains tabled pending ERCOT comments on NPRR 1180. NPRR1180 Inclusion of Forecasted Load in Planning Analyses ERCOT and Oncor plan to submit comments. Issue remains tabled PGRR105 Deliverability for DC Tie Imports Remains tabled at ROS NPRR1070 Planning Criteria for GTC Exit Solutions Remains tabled as ERCOT expects protocol revision language discussion to resume in September after receiving consultant study results for congestion cost savings test
