  1. The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night- Time Faith Copeland

  2. Why did you chose the specific quote? I chose this quote because it shows how much Christopher s father cares about Christopher. The lengths Christopher s father would go to to get Christopher out of jail and then not yelling or getting mad at Christopher when Christopher is in the car on their way home. 1. Why did you choose to make these specific edits? Explain EACH of your choices for filters, emojis, bitmojis, stickers etc. I chose the family sticker because you would do anything for your family, and family is very important. I chose the heart emoji because Christopher s father is showing lots of love, trying to get his son out of jail and that he doesn t deserve to be in jail. Finally, I chose the Rapunzel emoji because it is sweet how much effort Christopher s father will put in to get Christopher out of that place. 1. How does the quote connect to the larger topic? This quote connects to Family and Community because it is showing how mad or how upset someone would get for their family member. How hard someone would fight so that their family member would be free. How important their family means to them getting this mad so that their family member is out of jail. 1.

  3. Why did you chose the specific quote? I chose this quote because it shows how people on the spectrum show affection. The typical stereotype for people on the spectrum is that they don t like to show affection and like to be alone. This quote actually shows us that that is not true and that every person has a different way to show their affection. 1. Why did you choose to make these specific edits? Explain EACH of your choices for filters, emojis, bitmojis, stickers etc. I chose the hands with the heart on the inside because it shows that this is a form of love and affection. I chose the praying hands because although the emoji is praying this is what Christopher s form of affection would look like from the side. Finally, I chose the fingers that are about to touch because this is similar to Christopher s way of showing affection, but instead of touching their entire hands, it s just their fingers that touch. 1. How does the quote connect to the larger topic? This quote connects to Family and Community because it shows how Christopher gives affection towards his family. It demonstrates that not everyone will show affection by hugging or kissing and that there are many other forms to show affection. Everyone is different and no person is the same. 1.

  4. 1. Why did you chose the specific quote? I chose this quote because it shows how much Christopher s mother felt bad for leaving him and his father. Christopher s mother truly cared about him and his father saying all this in a letter. The sad thing is that Christopher s father never showed Christopher these letters and Christopher had to find them for himself. 1. Why did you choose to make these specific edits? Explain EACH of your choices for filters, emojis, bitmojis, stickers etc. I chose the pencil writing on a piece of paper emoji because this quote happened when Christopher was looking in his father s room and found the letters from his mother. I chose the heart emoji because this quote shows us how much Christopher s mother truly cared about him and how much she loved and cared about Christopher. I chose the love sticker because this quote shows that Christopher s mother would go to great lengths to show affection towards Christopher. The fact that she would leave Christopher, thinking that it would be easier on Christopher s father is truly kind and that shows a lot of bravery and love. 1. How does the quote connect to the larger topic? This quote shows Family and Community because Christopher s mother took the time and effort to write to his son. Although, his father never showed him the letters, Christopher eventually found them and that was a big deal to him.

  5. Why did you chose the specific quote? I chose this quote because it shows that Christopher does care about other people. Another stereotype that people on the spectrum have are that they don t care about others, but with Christopher this is different. 1. Why did you choose to make these specific edits? Explain EACH of your choices for filters, emojis, bitmojis, stickers etc. I chose the Do Not Disturb sticker on this page, Christopher s father says that he wants to be alone. The Leave Me Alone sticker is similar to the Do Not Disturb sticker, it s because further up the page Christopher s father says he rather be alone than talk to Christopher about what happened with Wellington. Finally, the Go Away sticker is like the other two. Since Christopher s father preferred to be alone, Christopher respected his wish and went up to his room. 1. How does the quote connect to the larger topic? This quote connects to Family and Community because Christopher is respecting his father s wish to be alone. This connects to the topic because instead of annoying his father and trying to talk about Wellington, he respected his father s wishes, went up to his room and left his Father alone. 1.

  6. 1. Why did you chose the specific quote? I chose this quote because it is showing the readers that sometimes you must make sacrifices for your loved ones, in this case Christopher s sacrifice to his Father is to stop looking for who killed Wellington. 1. Why did you choose to make these specific edits? Explain EACH of your choices for filters, emojis, bitmojis, stickers etc. I chose these bitmoji hands because, one of them represents Christopher s father and the other one represents Christopher. The sticker with the question mark at the end is meant to represent Christopher s father, who is asking Christopher to swear that he won t play detective anymore. The sticker without the question mark at the end is mean to represent Christopher who agrees to promise not to play his little detective game anymore. 1. How does the quote connect to the larger topic? This quote connects to Family and Community because Christopher is making a promise to father saying he will stop playing detective, and if you make a promise but then break it, you will most likely lose someone s trust. When Christopher made this promise it s like saying you can trust that I will stop searching for who killed Wellington, but if Christopher breaks that he will lose his Father s trust.
