  1. MERRY CHRISTMAS! In 1992, I had no idea just how popular texting would become, and that this would give rise to emojis and messaging apps used by millions. I only recently told my children that I sent that first text. Looking back with hindsight, it s clearer to see that the Christmas message I sent was a pivotal moment in mobile history. -Neil Papworth

  2. CHRISTMAS - A pivotal moment in the history of mankind. Galatians 4:4-5 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

  3. THE LORD JESUS THE CHRIST OF CHRISTMAS

  4. 1. The Eternal God John 1:1-3,14 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.

  5. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

  6. 2. The Incarnate God Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

  7. 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

  8. 3. The Savior Matthew 1:21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

  9. 1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners

  10. 4. The All-Powerful One Philippians 2:9-11 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

  11. 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

  12. 5. The Coming King Acts 1:11 who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

  13. THE WONDERFUL SAVIOR Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

  14. Matthew 1:21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

  15. Luke 2:10-11 10 Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

  16. 1. HIS LOVE IS WONDERFUL 1 John 4:9-10 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins

  17. 2. HIS PEACE IS WONDERFUL John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  18. 3. HIS FORGIVENESS IS WONDERFUL Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

  19. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us

  20. 4. HIS POWER IS WONDERFUL Ephesians 1:19-20 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

  21. 5. HIS SALVATION IS WONDERFUL John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

  22. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

  23. Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
