"The AHEAD program, led by Harsha Aturupane and supported by The World Bank, aims to address challenges in the higher education sector in Sri Lanka. It focuses on increasing access, improving quality, and promoting research and innovation. With a budget of US$100 million until June 2023, the program targets economic and social development through investments in academic staff, student intake, teaching quality, research, and governance."
