RISE-CAY Program for Interdisciplinary Scholars in Childhood, Adolescence, and Young Adulthood

RISE-CAY is a collaborative program between the University of Memphis and the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center funded by HRSA. It focuses on integrated behavioral health, cultural humility, and competency for professionals working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Eligible disciplines include social work, counseling, psychiatry, and occupational therapy. The program offers training sessions, case competitions, and stipends for participants. Participating faculty members are experts in their respective fields, and additional requirements include US citizenship or permanent residency.

2. What is RISE-CAY? Collaboration between University of Memphis and University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center.

What is RISE-CAY? + Funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Behavioral Health, Workforce Education, and Training-Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults (BHWET-CAY) Program for Professionals. Focus of the Grant Integrated Behavioral Health Cultural Humility & Competency Adverse Childhood Experiences Telehealth Social Determinants of Health Rural & Underserved Communities +

4. Social Work MSW final year interns DSW 2ndyear or beyond Counseling MS School Counseling MS Clinical Mental Health Counseling PhD Counseling Psychology Who is eligible for RISE-CAY? 4 disciplines, 7degree programs Psychiatry Psychiatry residents Occupational Therapy MOT

5. Six synchronous or asynchronous training sessions. Synchronous trainings held on Fridays. Practicum, internship, or residency working with children, adolescents, or young adults (under age 25). DSW students will use their employment. What s involved? Culminating case competition.

7. What are the other requirements? Cannot participate in any other Federal programs in the same year such as INTEGRATE, MSW-SDS, UT LEND, VA training stipend Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card)

8. Stipends + $15,000 for MSW, MS Counseling, and MOT + $25,000 for DSW and PhD Counseling Psychology + $48,804 for psychiatry residents* *Stipends will be paid on a 1099 and subject to taxes.
