  4. AlSobo is a celebration hosted by the Egyptians for the newborn child after seven days (a week) of his/her birth. Some argue that this celebration dates back to the time of the pharaohs, but there are no studies confirming the beginning of this celebration. Egyptologists have found some wall paintings from the era of the modern statesimilar to this celebration.

  7. At the beginning of celebration the born child is placed into a (sieve) which is a tray with a net bottom and is placed on a high table. They put Abreek next to the baby if the baby is a boy or Quolaif the baby is girl.? Then the sieve with the baby is carried and placed on the ground and then starts what is called " Hoon Banging "It is a sound made as a result of hitting a metal Hoon. Quola Sieve Hoon Abreek

  8. This is often done by the babys grandma or one of the older women while repeating commandments for the baby, such as being obedient to his parents or others..!!

  9. then the mother goes through over the child seven times while the old woman repeating words Basmalah (In the name of Allah).

  10. After that, the sieve and the child is placed again on the table and children and adults hold white burning candles touring the table and chanting songs of famous Sobo then sweets is distributed to the children.
