Note: This session is approved for 3-6 hours. This includes 3 hours of in-class time (the entire powerpoint presentation is to be completed in 3 hours), and 3 hours for individual work so that participants can work on their own to complete their philosophy statement. Focused Networks and similar groups may want to conduct the 3 hours of individual work during meeting time, or in another format. Participants must complete a philosophy statement and explain how they make it available to families, visitors, and staff (as required for QRIS standard LD1) in order to receive a certificate.

Materials for training session:

All participants should bring their Portfolio or QIP to the training session.

Dry erase board or flip chart, markers

Optional – laptop computers or thumb drive if the class (or individual work time) will be held in a computer lab.
