Current Status of Women Involved in Agribusiness in the Pacific Lots of women are involved in agribusiness in the informal sector market and roadside vendors Very few women are involved in the formal agribusiness sector Countries development differs from country to country Melanesian countries ( Fiji, PNG, Vanuatu & Solomon Is) have more land sizes compared to Polynesian (Tonga, Samoa, Cook Is, Niue & Tuvalu) and Micronesian (FSM, RMI, Kiribati & Nauru) Countries Very limited data & information on number of women farmers and agribusiness operators
