West Midlands Freight GLOSA Trial Project Overview
The West Midlands Freight GLOSA Trial project, led by Andy Radford, aims to implement Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory (GLOSA) in the region. It focuses on improving traffic flow and reducing emissions by utilizing existing infrastructure, demonstrating interoperability between C-ITS systems, and enhancing signal priority requests. The project timeline includes activities like approvals, development, and testing phases to achieve safer roads, reliable journey times, and better traffic management in the West Midlands.

Aims and Objectives GLOSA in an adaptive control environment. Utilising Existing Infrastructure (4G and Wifi) Can simple changes be made to that environment that improve GLOSA accuracy Can we demonstrate interoperability between C-ITS systems (i.e. from Birmingham to Coventry) Can we demonstrate signal priority requests
