  2. Task Hello P7s, or we should say, hello new S1s! We are very excited to meet you and find out about you. We are very disappointed that we will not be meeting you before the summer holidays, but we think you will be worth the wait! In the meantime, we are going to ask you to take on a task which will allow us to find out more about you before we meet. You will probably have seen our welcome video by now, but if not then you can see it here

  3. You will see that we have introduced ourselves to you through acrostic poetry. What is an acrostic poem? It is a poem which uses words, in this case our names, that goes down the side of a page. We then use the letters to be the first letters of different words. For example, the word cat: C C A A T T Can become C Cute A Adorable T Tiny

  5. So We would love it if you would write an acrostic poem for us that tells us some things about you and who you are. Success Criteria: Success Criteria: All of you All of you should be able to write an acrostic poem using single words to describe yourself Most of you Most of you should be able to write a sentence for each letter of your name Some of you Some of you could challenge yourselves to make the poem rhyme. We hope that your class teachers will then be able to email us your finished poems so we can display them in the faculty to introduce you to the other Drummond students. Good luck and have fun!
