INTRODUCTION TO WADEPA Wazi Digital Education & Parents Alliance (WADEPA) Ltd is a company limited by guarantee without shares (URSB #80034693149547) formed by a group of parents. Legals: Founded in Jun 2023, Registered in 29th January 2024 Head Offices at Ndundu Complex - Kisaasi-Kyanja road, 2 Service Centres: National ICT Innovation Hub - Nakawa, Training/Meeting Centre at Pan African Square - Kampala Central. Currently WADEPA has 2000 parents spread across Uganda 3 WADEPA branches: Kayabwe, Lugazi, Nansana. WADEPA (2024) 5

OBJECTIVES OF WADEPA Building participation capacity of parents in development sectors of education, health, agriculture, natural resources conservation, trade and enterprises, community services, governance, infrastructure development and use, industrial development etc. Establish and Coordinate issue based parents networks at all governance levels To build capacity of parents through parenting skilling training, experience sharing events and platforms using community owned organizations To promote ethics and integrity through parents role modelling WADEPA (2024) 7
OBJECTIVES CONTD Support family business model among parents for sustainable wealth accumulation and management Promote digital education in all education institutions and homes to enhance quality of learning and teaching with greater parental involvement in decision making at all levels through a legally established National Parents Council Support inclusive financial schemes for capital accessibility to the participating family business enterprises, Support inclusive business enterprises for sustainable family wealth creation schemes WADEPA (2024) 8

SUCCESSES SO FAR REGISTERED BY WADEPA Legal Registered with URSB as Company Ltd by Guarantee 2000 members recruited so far Leadership in place and Secretariat created with offices in Kisaasi on 1st Floor of Ndundu Complex in Kampala Digital systems secured for online services eg learning, health 10 Partnerships secured with public and private sector Poultry Enterprises piloted with 100 parents in Kayabwe Town Council (1000 broiler birds). WADEPA (2024) 14

Digitize: Launch digital systems for services & skilling Partner: Solicit partnership with public & private sector. Fundraising: Undertake joint resource mobilization.
