THE LAW OF GOD IS ABOVE ALL THINGS

INTRODUCTION God s law is above every other law on earth. The word Law means rules, commandments or instructions given to us by God to guide our behaviour. In our Bible passage, the law of God is called different names such as: i. Law ii. Testimonies iii. The Truth iv. Precepts v. Statutes vi. Commandments vii. Righteous judgments viii.Word (Psalm 119:1-9)
IMPORTANCE OF THE WORD OF GOD CONTD. The Law of God covers all the instructions and commandments God gave from the garden of Eden, to Moses, to the prophets, and to the New Testament people . In every school, there are rules and regulations guiding activities of all the pupils Disobeying such rules regulations brings punishment to the disobedient. God s laws are the rules and regulations God has given to all the people He has created on earth. the and
IMPORTANCEOFTHEWORDOFGOD CONTD. God started giving laws to His creatures right from the garden of Eden when He told Adam and Eve that they should not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden; neither should they touch it, lest they die. Secondly, God gave laws to the children of Israel when they were in the wilderness going to the Promise Land. He gave them the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1- 17). Today, the Holy Bible is the Law of God for all His creatures.
POWEROFGODSLAW. The Holy Bible is made up of Old Testament and New Testament and it contains sixty-six (66) books altogether. It is the final Law of God for everybody.
POWEROFGODSLAW CONTD, The word of God can do many things in your life today: i. It makes a sinner to realize his/her sinful state so as to repent and be saved. ii. It makes a child to be wise(Psalm 19:7) iii. The Law of God rejoices the heart by making an obedient child to be happy (Psalm 19:7). iv. The word of God keeps a child from sin (Psalm 19:11) v. The word of God corrects our lives and directs us to the right way (Psalm 19: 67,71)
CONCLUSION Obedience to the word of God makes a child to live long. But only children who are friends of Jesus can obey the law of God. Are you born again? Turn away from your bad ways today and tell Jesus Christ to come into your life and be your friend. Then get a copy of the Bible, read it every day, listen attentively when it is being read think on the message, believe it and obey all that it commands.
