First of all we have to know about the uses of COMMA: To separate the items in a list such as mangoes,oranges,jackfruits,etc. To address someone : Dear Rakib,Dear Sir,My dear friends,etc To separate Introductory Yes, No,Well ,etc. To separate an adverbial clause when used at the beginning of a sentence(If it rains,I will not go to school). Before the Quotation Mark(e.g. My mother said, Where are you going? To separate more than two words and use and before the last one.such as-Jim is expert in swimming ,running and skating.
Comma is used before and after Case in apposition: Sahin,a famous teacher,is coming today. Mr.Malek,Gm of our office,is known for his good behavior. If Vocative case is used before sentence then comma used,if Vocative case is used after the sentence then comma is used just before vocative case and if it is used in the middle of the sentence then comma is used before and after the vocative case. If A sentence begin with Absolute construction then comma is used ,if it is in middle then comma is used before and after it ,if it used in the last of the sentence then comma must be used just before Absolute construction sentence. The dinner being over , we left the place. Mr. Alauddin ,I think , is the best teacher in the school. He earns a lot of money per month , say ,twenty thousand. If there are more than one pair words then comma is used after every pair words. High and low , black and white , rich and poor , all are equal to God.
If any sentence start with Adjective/Adverb Phrase then comma is used , if in the middle then comma is used after and before the Phrase . Running away , the culprit escaped himself. He is, so far, a good teacher. If there are used any months name then date and year In a sentence then comma must be used . We achieved freedom on December 16,1971. Comma should be used for short Pause of a sentence. Going to School,he found nobody. This is my country , and I love it very much. If any Sentence started with Though ,Till ,Untill ,Before ,When , As, Since ,If,Unless these conjunction then comma must be used after the first clause. Though he is poor,he is honest. Unless you study a lot ,you will fail. As you are a student ,you should study properly.
When same meaningfull sentence and clause are situated beside one by one then second verb must be omitted then comma is used after Subject in the place of omitted verb. She bought a chain and he , a set of combs. Shumi received a pen ; Nishat ,a watch. Mita is a Hindu; Mukti,a Muslim
