3.1 Outcomes At the end of this unit, you will be able to: 1. Recall the new words in your vocabulary and describe the meaning of each . Use idioms in conversation. 2. Distinguish the difference between present and past tense.
3.2 Present Tense and Past Tense The present tense is what is happening today. The past tense is what happened yesterday or last week. Example: Dumi plays soccer today. Dumi played soccer yesterday. The regular past tense = play + ed Many questions use to do in the past tense. It isn t regular . This means it is not what you would expect
For example: When did Dumi play soccer? Dumi played soccer last week. Did Dumi play soccer last week? . Yes, Dumi played soccer last week.
