BEING A PERSON IN FULLNESS BEING A PERSON IN FULLNESS (WHOLENESS) THE TWO FACES OF THE HEART OF THE HUMAN PERSON
For you, What does it mean to be a person in What does it mean to be a person in fullness? fullness? Share with two people in the group what you understand by becoming a PERSON IN FULLNESS?
The two faces of the human person 1. A battered reality, wounded, injured. 2. Potential, some forces/energy, a well of possibilities, a group of positive forces. Every person is influenced in his/her action by a mixture of these two parts. This interaction is what gives the person their identity, and where they can discover the meaning of their life and their task in history.
The two face of our heart make us situate and behave in different ways with ourselves, with others, with the environment, and with God: like flies or like worker bees. Flies are in the manure, in the dirtiest parts, and they take this to where there should be more cleanliness...Worker bees extract the best from the flower, and they also produce honey, which is a nutritious food and a fundamental remedy for people.
There is always an opportunity to begin anew: its call today Life in Fulness God has words of Life for you It is the mixture of these two realities that makes each person who they are. It is the interaction of the injured part and the potential of possibilities, that gives the person their identity, and where they can discover the meaning of their life, and their task in history.
On the road to On the road to personal growth personal growth
What process can help us find: What process can help us find: PERSONAL HARMONY HARMONY IN HISTORICAL COMMITEMENT SPIRITUAL HARMONY
There are many factors that influece this path Keeping one from reaching those harmonies: THE WEIGHT OF THE UNTREATED WOUND. To reach those harmonies: THE POWER OF POSITIVITY WHEN WE SUCCEED IN MAKING A PATH TO RECOGNIZE AND HEAL OUR WOUNDS.
It is important to discover where the wound comes from, because it is precisely the search to satisfy this need that was not met in childhood, which makes me react from this need and makes me search now as an adult satisfiers as if I were still young. Wounds can be caused by absence or excess. Because of nonsatisfaction or over-satisfaction of the need due to lack of attention or overprotection. It can be a strong impact or the repetition of small blows (the continuous sensation of not being loved or having to do things to be loved, etc.). These wounds, by producing a sensation of helplessness in the child, cause some basic fears to arise in them: being condemned, not loved, to fail, to be compared, to be left empty, abandoned, to suffer, to appear weak, conflict, etc.
When wounds are provoked and fears are generated, compulsions in the unconscious are being formed almost at the same time as are the defense mechanisms which the child uses to prevent further hits. Don t forget that all this is unconscious, that is, it happens mechanically, involuntarily, without us realizing it. In this moment, corporeal structure is also formed, like an armor, which becomes like the great defense mechanism.
The weight of the wound Sometimes it s the one that stands out the most, for not knowing it, it plays tricks on us; it leads us to behaviors that we don t understand and with which we hurt ourselves and others; clouding our inner well and darkening our potentialities.
To the extent that you become aware To the extent that you become more aware of these realities of your unconscious, to the extent that you become aware ofwhat emerges from that woundedness that you are healing, and you realize the wealth that is in your well of potential and empower it; you will know yourself, you will grow and discover your deepest truth, and as you become a changed person inside, you will transform the structures of history.
HOW DO WE DISCOVER OUR WOUNDS? These wounds, by producing a sensation of helplessness in the child, cause some basic fears to arise in them: being condemned, not loved, to fail, to be compared, to be left empty, abandoned, to suffer, to appear weak, conflict, etc. What steps (small steps) am I willing to take?
The power of our positivity. The power of our positivity. When there is a process that allows us to recognize and journey toward healing our wounds the possibility is opened of recognizing and making a path toward redemption, welcoming and strengthening the well of positivity and of vital energies. This is the path that leads to the full development of the human dimension: to cleanse the wound from its very source. To live a full existence consists in the capacity to create love and conditions for it, and that translates into harmonious relationships with myself, with others, the environment, and with God.
Recognizing our positivity has a certain ease if we learn to evaluate what we do; we know how to analyze reality and how we can act in it, and we learn to discover the ability that we have been developing to face life in a positive way. This means that the personal growth is a commitment that it is only possible if it is nourished by the water of its own well, the water that comes from the inner spring.
In the spring you find a "voice, the voice of your being that is growing it points to what is good for you, what helps you be truthful, what drives you to integration; and at the same time leads you to generate goodness, truthfulness, integrity... This is your conscience. You will also find in your spring the acting and transforming presence of God Himself in your innermost depths. How to help cultivate interior life, and those principles that nourish the conscience? That too is a process
1. Take the risk and EVOLVE 2. Conformity and stagnation The decision to become and live as a PERSON IN FULLNESS (wholeness/plenitude) is in my hands. WE BEGIN WITH OURSELVES Are you willing?
CULTIVATE THE HARMONY OF YOUR SENSITIVITY, AFFECTION, HONESTY, STENGHT, FREEDOM PERSONAL HARMONY I become aware of my wounds, they begin to heal, and I discover my potentialities I become aware of my fetishes of God I CULTIVATE INTERIOR LIFE, the values of the Gospel HARMONY IN HISTORICAL COMMITMENT SPIRITUAL HARMONY I CULTIVATE CRITICAL THINKING, SOLIDARITY, COMMITMENT TO JUSTICE, PEACE AND THE CARE OF CREATION
Our personal being is called to unification, to live from the heart of our interiority, in relationship with the heart of others and of creation.
