Revelation 6;1-8 Mathew 24; 4-24 2 Thessalonians 2;8-12 Daniel 8;23-25. After the seal was opened by the lamb, one of the four beasts told John come and see and John said I saw RETRIBUTION OF SINNERS DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION The Lord wanted the apostle John to be a witness and as a faithful witness HE PAID ATTENTION to all he was called to take note of. As witnesses of the grace of God we must pay attentionto divine revelation of God s word in the church or during our personal devotion
RETRIBUTION OF SINNERS DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION. Each of the four seals that were opened was followed by horses, each seal for a colour. The horses refer to a symbol of royalty and reigning- The reign of the antichrist. The diversity of colour refers to different characteristics of the reign of the antichrist on earth.
RETRIBUTION OF SINNERS DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION THE WHITE HORSE - The white horse represent false peace and deception; The rider of the horse had a bow and arrow and on his head a crown. -He would both rule and destroy, a symbol of dominion victory and conquest. -This is the very first event after the rapture of the saints. He would rule the world in collaboration with the false prophets after the saints are taken out of this earth. THE RED HORSE -The red horse represent bloodshed and murderous acts. -The reign of the antichrist would be characterized by wars, killings and all sorts of murderous acts though he took the earth by temporary peace, yet he would trouble the earth
RETRIBUTION OF SINNERS DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION THE BLACK HORSE -The dark horse represent dark, hidden, secret and self centered economic policies. -There would be serious economic recession on the earth during the period of the great tribulation. Scarcity of commodities would lead to inflation THE PALE HORSE -The pale horse is a symbol of death, as a dying or dead person looks pale - This shows that the reign of the antichrist is going to be characterised by pandemic, worldwide starvations, brutality and gruesome killings. All this would be the lot of those on earth during the great tribulation.
REST TO THE SAINTS DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION At opening of the fifth seal the soul of them that were slain cried for vengeance. They were consoled that though vengeance was delayed it was not denied. They only needed to wait a little season. Lessons to learn -Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints -Only those who are slain for the word of God which they lived up to, shall be preserved -God s response to Judgement may not fit our timing -Whether we request for the punishment of the persecutors or not, God takes account of it, and would give everyman according as his work shall be - After our painful toil and torture for the kingdom of God on earth, there is assurance of eternal rest.
RESTLESSNES OF THE SINNERS AFTER THE GREAT TRIBULATION. Immediately after the tribulation, the Lord Jesus christ will physically come on the earth. He would come to judge the earth for its iniquities. He would physically be seen by the great and common men of the earth. The events that would heralds his appearance would be so chaotic and frightful that the whole solar system would be disrupted. The sinners would become restless and disturbed, there shall be no hiding place for any perpetuators of evil. Unfortunately, there shall neither befree man nor bond man, great man nor mean man, all shall be alike in the face of eternal judgement. It is established that nobody shall be able to stand on the day of the Lord.
