Endometriosis is a condition where endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus. Symptoms include pelvic pain, irregular periods, pain during intercourse, and difficulty getting pregnant. The exact cause is unknown, but theories point to genetics, immune system issues, and the spread of endometrial cells. This condition can lead to scar tissue formation, adhesions, and fertility issues.
