Under the Sea Project The topic this term is all about water so I have created a story based on exploring things under the sea. This is a project that should last you until the end of summer term. We would normally do a PMLD Extravaganza show to perform to the whole school. However in light of current circumstances we thought it might be nice for you to do your own drama production. I have put down ideas of things that you could make, props, puppets, costumes etc. You can use plastic bottles, cereal boxes anything that you can find in the home to make props with. There should be something to explore or do for each slide. If you can find things you have at home for them to explore that are water based, you may even have sea creature toys that you can put in a tray of water. The power point is just merely a guide line you don t have to follow it all, feel free to make it your own with whatever resources you have at home. I have put some music links to go with each slide. Feel free to choose which music would fit best for your production you can even choose other music if want. We look forward to seeing/hearing about your end product.
Things you need: Water Spray, Bubbles, water tray with water could do this outside if weather is nice. Mermaid any bright coloured material that would represent Mermaid Crab - anything that would make a clicking sound, i.e. castanets Sea Turtle something hard and rough i.e. a shell or pasta shells Rainbow fish something shiny i.e. coloured foil paper Shipwreck a toy boat or a piece of wood, something that represents a boat. Dolphin something smooth Seahorse - something S shape Jellyfish- something slimy Octopus cooked spaghetti Starfish something star shaped Sea monster a big ball with material over it If you wish you could even, make puppets or find things to use to dress up and make it into a drama show. This is a project that will last you all term. Normally at school we would be work on this as part of our PMLD Extravaganza show. This is your chance to make this project your own. The Mermaid and the crab carried on until they came across a rainbow fish. I am a rainbow fish the most beautiful fish in the ocean. Rainbow fish! Do you know where the treasure is? asked the Mermaid Rainbow fish told them that Dolphin might have seen it. Finally! Octopus, Octopus please can you help?! Ive lost my treasure. Seahorse said you put it somewhere safe Yes I did. I buried it in the seabed near Whales den explained Octopus. Music: same as previous slide.

As they reached the seabed, they met Starfish. Your treasure is safe inside said Starfish. Just as Crab went to get his treasure, everything went dark! Music: Same as previous slide.
