Round 1 Blue is organised by school teachers Breakthrough Gold is organised by UKLO Foundation Training Camps IOL Intermediate Advanced Round 2
Round 1 Exams Breakthrough (Problem No. 1,2,3) Breakthrough-Intermediate Test supervised by teacher KS2/Y3-6/7-11yrs Marked by teachers Marked by teachers Foundation (2,3,4,5) Sat in groups 2-4 (sat individually encouraged for older students), 90-120 minutes KS3/Y7-9/11-14yrs Intermediate (4,5,6,7) KS4/Y10-11/14-16yrs Marked by UKLO Marked by UKLO Advanced (6,7,8,9,10) Sat individually, 2.5 hours KS5/Y12-13/16-18yrs
Advanced and Round 2 Exam Instructions Strict Supervision ( same as public exam conditions). External invigilators not necessary Provide extra sheets if needed. Collect in all sheets ( problem and answer) at the end. Advanced Candidates must write their names on both sides of their answer sheets, and every additional sheet they use Scan all and only answer sheets into one pdf per school to upload on the UKLO portal Marked by UKLO Marked by UKLO Gold Top ~5%) Round 2 5 Problems Sat individually, 3 hours (Top ~5%)
