A clock has 2 hands The minute hand is long. The hour hand is short. Those look like arrows not hands!
How do we read time? We read the hour by saying o clock I leave work at five o clock
What does time to the hour look like? What do we say? The minute hand always points to the 12 The hour hand points to the hour It is 3 o clock.
Ask someone what time it is. Find the hour on a clock.
What does 1 oclock look like? Have a think The minute hand is pointing to the 12 The hour hand is pointing to the 1
What does 4 oclock look like? Have a think The minute hand is pointing to the 12 The hour hand is pointing to the 4
What does 8 oclock look like? Have a think The minute hand is pointing to the 12 The hour hand is pointing to the 8
