At Stantonbury School, we aim to provide a

Curriculum intent
 
 
Subjects offered at Key Stage 3
 
In addition to the timetabled curriculum, all KS3 students will be offered a range of enriching
opportunities through 
The Stantonbury Experience.
 
For a small number of students who require a bespoke timetable and intervention during the
school day, their timetable will continue to reflect the ‘5 Entitlements’.
 
Subjects offered at Key Stage 4  (Year 10 22/23)
 
In order to ensure that our curriculum is both inclusive and ambitious, alternative qualifications will be offered
to identified students. For the small number of students who may not access the full set of GCSEs, their
curriculum will continue to include all ‘5 Entitlements’ throughout Key Stage 4.
 
In addition to the timetabled curriculum, all KS4 students will be offered a range of enriching opportunities
through 
The Stantonbury Experience.
 
Future developments 23/24 and beyond
 
As we seek to develop our curriculum and achieve our vision, plans are underway to
explore the introduction of the following subjects in the future:
 
Engineering
Computer Science
Travel and Tourism
Construction
 
Parents will be updated through the Year 9 Options process.
 
Decision-making will include the following factors:
Staffing and recruitment of subject-specialists
Registered interest of students
Finance, resourcing and viability
