The Requirement to be a Christian

“Disciples” called
Christians
first at Antioch
(Acts 11:26, Matt. 28:19-20)

Paul “as I am“ -
“Christian”
(Acts 26:28-29)

Persecuted- Suffering “as a
Christian” – Glorify God in
this name
(I Peter 4:16)
Christians Only…

Answer lies beyond personal affirmations!
(Matt. 7:21-23)
Not everyone that says Lord, Lord enter
Kingdom!
Not everyone saying Lord and doing mighty
works in Lord’s name!
Those who merely affirm the Lord are not known
by the Lord!
Christians Only…

Answer lies beyond personal affirmations!
(Matt. 7:21-23)
When
Is One Saved as a Christian? –
Baptism
Baptism does now save us
(I Peter 3:20-21)
Through name of the Lord believers are saved –
baptism in the name of the Lord
(Acts 11:14,
10:43,48)
Saving baptism in the name of the Lord is water
baptism – not Holy Spirit baptism
(Acts 10:44-47,
Acts 11:18; 2:38, Gal. 3:26-27)
Dead in Sin – Baptism – Alive in Christ
(Rom. 6:3-4, 6,11; Eph. 2:1,5,8; Acts 20:21,19:5)

Christians Only…

Answer lies beyond personal affirmations!
(Matt. 7:21-23)
When
Is One Saved as a Christian? –
Baptism
Where
 Is The Saved Christian?
The People Of God are in the Light – coming from
darkness
(I Pet. 2:9-10)
In the Kingdom of God’s Son
(Col. 1:13-14,
Heb. 12:22-24, 28)
In the body of Christ – the church
(Acts 2:47)

Christians Only…

Who
 Is Saved?
The Obedient
(Heb. 5:9)
Obedient to the Lord – He is the exclusive way
(Jn. 14:6)
Obedient Saved should all speak the same thing
– no divisions
(I Cor. 1:10)
Not those who pervert the right ways of the Lord
(Acts 13:10)
Does it matter if we call ourselves
Christians if we are not saved?

The same Scripture that allows me to
confidently affirm “Christians Only” allows
me know who the “Saved” are!

Let us study the Scriptures together to dispel
ignorance, and with a willing heart humbly
obey the Lord’s teachings we will be –
Christians only

The concept of being a Christian goes beyond mere personal affirmations and requires obedience to the teachings of the Lord as outlined in the Scriptures. Central to this understanding is the significance of baptism in the name of the Lord for salvation and being part of the body of Christ. By studying the Scriptures and adhering to the teachings with a willing heart, one can truly become a Christian as intended by God.
