  2. John 14:1518 If you love Me, you will keep My commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. He is the Spirit of truth. The world is unable to receive Him because it doesn t see Him or know Him. But you do know Him, because He remains with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you. HCSB

  3. HCSB 2 Samuel 6:6 7 When they came to Nacon s threshing floor, Uzzah reached out to the ark of God and took hold of it because the oxen had stumbled. Then the Lord s anger burned against Uzzah, and God struck him dead on the spot for his irreverence, and he died there next to the ark of God.

  15. John 14:2324 HCSB Jesus answered, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. The one who doesn t love Me will not keep My words. The word that you hear is not Mine but is from the Father who sent Me.

  16. John 14:26 HCSB But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit the Father will send Him in My name will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.

  17. The Deeper Life is a relationship of 1) Obedience to the Word (v.21) and 2) Love for the Word (v.24).

  18. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit come to abide with the saint who loves the Word, obeys the Word and lives the Word.

  19. My relationship with the Spirit is only as strong as my relationship with Jesus and His Word and my obedience to His Word.

  20. Paraclete means to stand alongside.

  21. Jesus had to die and go to the Father so the Father would send the Comforter for the comfortless.

  22. John 14:27 HCSB Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.

  23. Only a person submitted to Jesus can be used by the Spirit. Only a person in love with Jesus will be moved by the Spirit.
