Activity 1 Look at your story map. Focus on what saying you will repeat and the advantages your character will notice once they have their new feature. Activity 2 Draw your detailed story map into your English book

Activity 2 Try to punctuate some sentences using direct speech that you will use in your story. Now change them to reported speech. Notice the difference Try and include both reported and direct speech in your story.

How the Leopard got it spots. Once upon a time, in a jungle lived a leopard. The leopard was yellow. He hated being yellow. He was not able to play hide and seek well with the other animals.
How the Leopard Got Its Spots INTRO ONE Once, long ago, in the far off jungles of another land, there lived a leopard. He was long and lithesome and ever so lovely to look at. This leopard, however, was not of the covered-in-spots kind, but instead, his skin was smooth and plain, and no more interesting than a common-or-garden cat. INTRO TWO In the far off days of an ever-so-old jungle, deep in the depths of Africa, there lived a leopard. This plain-and-simple, ever so dull leopard was not, Dear One, like the leopards you or I know. Oh no! This leopard, though he had his fearsome teeth and razor-like claws, had no spots.
