The Effect of Sport Massage and Cold Water Immersion on Muscle Soreness Recovery in Futsal Athletes

A study investigated the impact of sport massage and cold water immersion on recovery from delayed onset muscle soreness in lower-body futsal athletes. Results indicated that cold water immersion had a more significant effect on recovery compared to sport massage. The cold-water immersion method showed a significant influence on muscle soreness recovery. The research involved 120 participants and highlighted the effectiveness of these recovery methods for athletes.

  2. Introduction Based on observation result It was found that athletes often experience fatigue or delayed onset muscle soreness, which has an impact performance on athlete The recovery provided still uses conventional methods and is less effective

  3. Methods Instrument : 1. Visual Analogue Scale The method used in this study is the experimental method The design in this study used a Two-Group Pretest Posttest Group Design Members of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Mens Futsal Student Activity Unit as many as 120 people 2. Goniometer The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, the sample as many as 30 people

  4. Result And Discussion < 0.05 < 0.05 < 0.05 Cold water immersion has a more significant effect on the recovery of delayed onset muscle soreness lower body in futsal athletes.. There is a significant influence of the cold-water immersion method on the recovery of delayed onset muscle soreness in the lower body in futsal athletes. There is a significant influence of the sports massage method on the recovery of delayed onset muscle soreness lower body in futsal athletes.

Conclusion There is a significant effect of the sport massage and cold water immersion methods on the recovery of delayed onset muscle soreness lower body in futsal athletes Cold-water immersion has a more significant effect than sport massage on the recovery of delayed onset muscle soreness lower body in futsal athletes
