Re-engagement of Students In addition to regular recruiting strategies, RPTs are encouraged to also consider the following 2020-21 Primary Target Group students as they recruit for their Semester 1 and 2 dual credits: students who registered for a dual credit, but did not start students who started, but did not finish or did not finish successfully students who were successful in a dual credit, but not in the dual credit course they were originally interested in. This group of students may or may not have returned to secondary school. 5 SCWI/IJECT

Expansion announced September 2021 Expansion announced September 2021 OYAP Level 1 Transitions Support Pilots OYAP Level 1 Transitions Support Pilots In 2020-21, 419 students participated in the Level 1 Transition Support Pilots This program was a success in increasing the success rate of our apprentices. It is projected that the on-going advising supports will also increase the number of students who successfully obtain their red seal certification in the program. [The college] is also considering putting together a red seal exam preparation program to support our students' success. we had tremendous success in getting the majority of our students paid apprenticeship positions 7 SCWI/IJECT
Expansion announced September 2021 Expansion announced September 2021 OYAP Level 1 Transitions Support Pilots OYAP Level 1 Transitions Support Pilots In 2020-21, 419 students participated in the Level 1 Transitions Support Pilots The students have a safety net in knowing that they can always contact their College Advisor for assistance. encouraged them to continue within the trade knowing that they had the additional support to help them find their next step employer address questions that students had in relation to next steps, helping them to identify their Ministry contact for registration and providing details to employers to facilitate sponsorship 8 SCWI/IJECT
Expansion announced September 2021 Expansion announced September 2021 OYAP Level 1 Transitions Support Pilots OYAP Level 1 Transitions Support Pilots RPTs can apply for this funding starting in Cycle 2. Cycle 3 is currently open in EDCS. Please note: The purpose of these pilots is to support students to continue on their chosen path both while they are in and after their Level 1 Apprenticeship Dual Credit Students in any Level 1 Apprenticeship Dual Credit program (regardless of the delivery approach) who will be transitioning from secondary school to their first postsecondary destination are eligible. Pilot transitions support for Level 1 dual credit students will be in addition to what is currently in place in boards and colleges. 9 SCWI/IJECT
OYAP Level 1 Transitions Support Pilots OYAP Level 1 Transitions Support Pilots This expanded pilot would provide an opportunity to better understand the barriers to students continuing in an apprenticeship after their Level 1 Dual Credit experience. These pilots will build on the success of the Wrap Around SWAC and Wrap Around ADC pilots. Please request an OYAP Level 1 Transitions Support pilot as an Activity with specific reference to your approved Level 1 Dual Credit program(s) and cost your proposal as you would Wrap Around SWAC and Wrap Around ADC (funding spreadsheet posted). Supplementary reporting will be required. 10 SCWI/IJECT

Level 1 Delivery Models Level 1 Delivery Models MLTSD provides In-Class Training purchase funding for OYAP students in the two models delivered at colleges. Students must have an RTA to be eligible. SCWI provides In-Class Training funding for Primary Target Group (PTG) students in the two models delivered at colleges. RTA not required. The other models are funded entirely by SCWI (no In-Class Training funding).
