Burnley Wood Medical Centre faced uncertainties due to an influx of new patients and struggled to meet demand. Introducing Physician Associates (PAs) proved to be a great success, improving patient access, freeing up partners' time, and earning the practice recognition as the best in Burnley. The positive attitude of personnel, support from overseeing GPs, and structured learning were key to the success. The practice is now considering recruiting more PAs and developing specialized skills to address various healthcare needs.
