Not say, "I was confirmed, Sunday." No. Go in and be transformed right now, transformed from what you are, to what God wants you to be. 7. 65-0911 God's Power To Transform 98 Now, what is the transformation? Quickly - how do we get it? What does the transformation? God does it by the spirit of his Word. He transforms. He plants his seed, throws his Spirit on it, and it brings forth the product. His Holy Spirit transforms the seed Word... to be vindicated of its kind. What kind of a seed you are, that shows just what's in you. You can't hide it. Whatever you are inside, it shows outside. You just can't keep from it. 8 05-28-2023 Spirit & Truth 7

8. You can't make that tree anything but what it is, see. It's going to be that way. The Holy Spirit transforms the seed that's on the inside of it. No matter what kind of a seed it is, it'll transform it. If it's evil, it'll bring forth evil. If it's a hypocrite, it'll bring forth a hypocrite. If it's a genuine Word of God, it'll bring forth a genuine son or daughter of God, through a thinking man's filter. When the seed comes up, it comes through that. 9. 63-1113 | The Sign Of This Time dynamics." Now, my body is the mechanics, but my body will not operate without the dynamics, the spirit. The spirit operates my body, brings it in control. 17. THE.FAITH.OF.ABRAHAM 36 God give Abraham some testing. Do you believe that children of God have testings and trials? "Every son that cometh to God must first be chastened. Did you ever have any child-training, bringing you up, giving you a little stimulation once in a while by the Gospel, correction... My daddy was awful good at that. He believed in the golden rule. 18. I tell you, that made discipline in the Branham home. But we love him. What would we have been if he hadn't have did it? That's the way God is; He brings discipline to His children, trying them, whipping them when they're wrong. 20. A.MAN.RUNNING.FROM.THE.PRESENCE 53 As a father, a mother, you've got to face the responsibility of raising that child, because "Spare the rod and you'll spoil your son." And that still stands good in the sight of every psychologist there is in the world, still remains God's Truth. If there had been more of that practiced, we wouldn't have had so much juvenile delinquency and stuff, and the rot we got in the world today. 24. The Case Against Spanking Physical discipline is slowly declining as some studies reveal lasting harms for children. Brendan L. Smith But spanking doesn t work, says Alan Kazdin, PhD, a Yale University psychology professor and director of the Yale Parenting Center and Child Conduct Clinic. You cannot punish out these behaviors that you do not want, says Kazdin, who served as APA president in 2008. There is no need for corporal punishment based on the research. The PMT program headed by Kazdin at Yale is grounded in research on applied behavioral analysis. The program teaches parents to use positive reinforcement and effusive praise to reward children for good behavior. Kazdin also uses a technique that may sound like insanity to most parents: Telling toddlers to practice throwing a tantrum. Parents ask their children to have a pretend tantrum without hitting or kicking. 26. Remaining calm during a childs tantrums is the best approach, coupled with time outs when needed and a consistent discipline plan that rewards good behavior, Graham-Bermann says. APA offers the Adults & Children Together Against Violence program, which provides parenting skills classes through a nationwide research-based program called Parents Raising Safe Kids. And, as He went, He never noticed their scoffing. When someone says something evil about you, and you want to take it up and get angry, that shows you haven't went quite deep enough yet with God. 34. 5 Stages: Wounded Spirit, Bitterness, Conflict, Stubbornness, Rebellion. 1. A Wounded Spirit PROVERBS 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? Caused by offense, or hurt (real or perceived). Parents, friends, etc. can do something (even unknowingly) which can be the seed that causes a root of bitterness. 35 05-28-2023 Spirit & Truth 7

35. 52-0727 LED.BY.THE.HOLY.SPIRIT 4 I'm a temperamental, melancholy sort of a person. I can't let myself get away. Satan takes advantage of that on me. I'm one of those types that could break down. 39. 3. Strife Prov. 29:22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression. Not talking about a momentary reaction to something, but a pattern, a characterization of that person. It is a habit that is learned. Sometimes we have angry children because they had angry fathers! That means how to control your tongue, not be a tattler; how to control your temper, not fly off every time anybody speaks cross to you. 44. 4. Stubbornness Means insubordination, precedes rebellion. A stubborn person feels he does not need to be taught or corrected because he believes he has become the master of his own destiny. I SAMUEL 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. BALM.IN.GILEAD 10 It wasn't because there wasn't a God in Israel... But it was the king's stubbornness and hatred for the true prophet. It wasn't because that God hadn't supplied the remedy. It was because he was too stubborn, didn't like Elijah, because Elijah had predicted all the evil that happened to his father. 46. QA.GOD.BEING.MISUNDERSTOOD 605-47 Stubbornness is not of God So when you feel you got a stubborn spirit, lay the thing on the altar, and believe God that the thing is dead and you'll never have it no more, and go on and don't even pay any attention to it no more, and the thing'll leave you. 47. 5. Rebellion Gone beyond anger and has become the proverbial fool. A fool, a rebel in the Bible are basically the same. Always right in their own eyes: Prov. 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. 48. Heart almost always refers to the hidden man, the real you. It is the inner life that one lives before God and himself; a life unknown by others because it is hidden from them. If a pitcher is filled with good things, good things come. If a pitcher is filled with water If a child s heart is filled with foolishness Pr.12:23 If your heart is filled with pride, pride would be expressed. Ps.10:4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, 05-28-2023 will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. 49 Spirit & Truth 7

49. DANIEL 5:20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: PROVERBS 26:24 He that hateth dissembleth (disguises) with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him; 25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart. 26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation. Unlike the contents of the pitcher, the contents of the heart cannot be seen by man, only God can know the heart. 50. FAITH 38 And if Jonah under those circumstances could believe God and refuse to look at anything that was contrary to God's program, you're not in that bad a shape. How much more ought you to look tonight, not to a earthly temple, but to a heavenly temple How much more ought we to say, "I won't look at nothing but God's eternal promise."
