Kentucky Habitat for Humanity and its affiliates are dedicated to serving veterans and their families across the Commonwealth through the Hammers for Heroes program. Since 2014, over 100 Kentucky veterans have been assisted with critical home repairs and new housing options. HAMMERS FOR HEROES Kentucky Habitat for Humanity and our 35 affiliates are proud to be serving Kentucky s veterans and their families throughout the Commonwealth through our Hammers for Heroes program. Veterans have been served in the following counties: Morgan, Menifee, Rowan, Wolfe, Bell, Pike, Floyd, Pulaski, Fayette, Jefferson, Scott, Lincoln, Hopkins, Webster, Henderson, Marshall, McCracken, Carter, Mason, Franklin, Woodford, Green, Shelby, McCreary & Warren

  2. HAMMERS FOR HEROES Since 2014, Habitat has served over 100 Kentucky Veterans through our Hammers for Heroes program, providing much needed critical home repairs and new permanent housing options.

HAMMERS FOR HEROES VETERANS IN KENTUCKY 8.6%of Kentucky s adult population are veterans of the U.S. Military 289,837 Veterans in Kentucky 40,142 Kentucky veterans live in homes with 1 or more major problems of quality, crowding or cost 489 Kentucky veterans are currently homeless based upon an estimate of the Department of Housing & Urban Development 21%of Kentucky s veteran have a service-connected disability rating 8.7% of Kentucky veterans live in poverty 5.9% unemployment rate for Kentucky veterans

  4. HAMMERS FOR HEROES Hammers for Heroes is supported with funding through: Home Depot Foundation Home Depot Community Impact Award The Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs E.O. Robinson Mountain Fund USDA Rural Development 502/504 The Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati AHP Kentucky Housing Corporation Inc.

HAMMERS FOR HEROES Operation Victory, providing permanent housing for Homeless Kentucky Veterans Kentucky Habitat for Humanity, In partnership with the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, the Home Depot Foundation, The Housing Partnership Inc. and the Greater Louisville Labor Council, has completely rehabbed 3 homes in Jefferson Co. for homeless veterans. We are proud of this partnership whereby every Union in Jefferson Co. provides for FREE their labor and materials to transform the lives of our veterans.

  7. HAMMERS FOR HEROES 400 sq. ft Vet cottage, Stanford KY New construction, HFH of Hopkins Co. Ramp for veteran in Henderson, KY Before & After remodeled bathroom for Veteran in Bell Co.
