My father vanished because he was jealous of
my mother’s success in the acting scene.
My mother left this earth when I was of only 3
years old. This traumatic experience led me to
cry for 24 straight hours. However, I still
believed she sat at the end of my bed every
night watching me.
I was adopted by John Allan and his wife. Mr.
Allan owned a tobacco business. Not only did I
live in Virginia before leaving my hometown of
Boston, I lived in Scotland and England for a
time.
