  1. 2021 Catholic Mens Conference Reflection Questions

  2. From Fred Blonigans presentation: Reflection questions for Mark 9: 2-10, the Transfiguration 1. What is the significance of Peter wanting to build three tents for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah? What important Jewish Festival from the Old Testament was being alluded to and why? 2. Ultimately, what does the Transfiguration tell us not only about Jesus but about our own lives and final destiny as His followers?

  3. From Fr. Scott Pogatchniks presentation Reflection questions for John 2: 13-25, The Cleansing of the Temple Jesus made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple area (Jn 2:15). When have you been called to confront an injustice and how did you respond? Were you able to exercise the virtue of courage? Zeal for your house will consume me (Jn 2:17). How have you experienced Jesus zeal for your soul (greater even than Christ s zeal for the temple)? What areas of your interior life (temple) & that inner room of prayer does Jesus want to clear out and reinforce this Lent?

  4. From Ryan Parsons presentation Reflection questions for John 3: 14-21, Nicodemus #1 - We read in John 3:16 that God so loved the world... Do you truly (with your entire being) realize that love? How have you responded and how will you try to respond in the future? #2 - We read in John 3:19-20 ...and men loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. What area of your life scares you to expose to the light of Christ? What weakness, or addiction, or dilemma, or resentment, or situation are you afraid to expose? Can you pray for the Grace to bring Christ s Light into that area of your life?

  5. From Fr. Doug Liebschs presentation Reflection questions for John 12: 20-33, Jesus speaks of His Death In our call and invitation to love God above all things, often our sin is not that we love the creature and our own life too much, but that we fail to love God more. In what area of your life are you called not to love less, but to love God more? We can be tempted to think that death to self is simply a lifeless sacrifice. Can you name the cross in your life that Jesus is inviting you to die on, so that you can have His life within you?

  6. From Fr. Knoblachs presentation: Reflection Questions for Mark 15: 1-39, The Passion 1) Simply spend some time hearing the Lord s question to you, as He asked the Apostles: Who do you say that I am? In light of the Passion narrative; in light of your experience of prayer; in light of spiritual reading; in light of the path of your life s journey what would you answer Jesus? Jot down or journal your response, and revisit it in three months, six months, a year from now. 2) What is the significance of Jesus silence before His accusers? And how do you understand those haunting words from the Cross: My God, my God, why have You abandoned Me?
