SAFER DRIVERS

Horses have to use the roads… given the
choice riders would never use the roads.
They will be riding from one multi user track
to another multi user track, or from their
stable to a multi user track.
SAFER DRIVERS

There are 3 brains working – the rider, the
driver, the horse
Horses are flight animals
Working to a risk assessment which is
thousands of years old
Remove – Reduce – Avoid

SAFER DRIVERS

Even the best trained horse can react to
something on its nearside: paper blowing in

Highlighting the importance of road safety for horses and riders, the British Horse Society, led by Alan Hiscox, Director of Safety, aims to educate drivers on safely passing horses on the road. With a focus on reducing incidents and creating a safer environment, the campaign emphasizes the need for drivers to slow down, be patient, and pass horses with care. By promoting understanding and mutual respect between drivers and riders, the initiative seeks to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of horses, riders, and drivers alike.
